Civil Wedding
Legally recognized union made simple, choose civil marriage for legal validity.
What is a civil wedding?
A civil wedding is a marriage ceremony that takes place in a non-religious environment, such as a mayor's office, a courthouse, or a specialized location. In this ceremony, a civil authority, such as a judge, a mayor, or a Registered Officiant, has the legal power to unite the couple in marriage.
Unlike religious weddings, civil weddings are usually simpler and less formal, but equally significant. They can be personalized according to the couple's wishes, with wedding vows, exchange of rings and the participation of family and close friends.
Civil weddings offer flexibility and the opportunity to celebrate love and commitment in an authentic and personalized way. In addition, they are an excellent option for couples who want an intimate ceremony, without worrying about religious or traditional aspects. It's a beautiful and exciting way to start a new phase in life together!

1. Completed marriage license application form.
2. Valid photo identification (such as a passport, driver's license, or government issued identification card)
3. Original birth certificate or certified copy.
4. If either spouse has been previously married and the marriage ended by divorce or widowhood, proof of this will be required (for example, a divorce certificate or certificate of employment of the previous spouse).
It's important to check specific requirements with the marriage office in the county where you plan to get married, as requirements may vary slightly depending on location.

At least two witnesses are required for a civil wedding. These witnesses must be adults (18 years of age or older) and be present during the ceremony to sign the marriage certificate as proof that the ceremony took place. However, it's important to check the specific requirements at the location where the civil wedding will take place, as they may vary by jurisdiction.

A notary public in the United States is a public agent appointed by the state government to provide services to the public in non-litigious legal matters. Unlike a lawyer who specializes in civil law, a notary public is not qualified to represent individuals in litigation.
Some of the responsibilities that a notary has include:
- Monitor the signing of minutes to prevent fraud and verify the authenticity of documents.
- Manage affirmations and oaths.
- Receive legal and sworn statements.
- Perform scripture checks.
These state officials act as impartial observers during the execution of various contracts, drafting of documents, signing and authentication processes, as well as in legal procedures aimed at preventing fraud in real estate and financial transactions.
Before participating in any contract, act or legal event that requires their intervention, they offer advice to avoid litigation and unnecessary expenses.
The signing of any document before a notary provides the certainty that the contract is final, not susceptible to change and legally valid.
Notaries reduce unnecessary risks by ensuring that contracts meet the requirements established by current laws during drafting.
